Some time ago I wanted to broaden my knowledge (or reduce my great ignorance) about Scandinavian films (that is to say, i wanted to watch something different than Bergman’s and Kaurismaki’s movies!). So browsing the web, I found this article reviewing the 30th Göteborg International Film Festival. The article gives a good overview of what was shown during the festivals. Following the tips of Matthias Frey, I watched some of the movies suggested in the article,. I loved Maria Blom’s movies, the norwegian Den brysomme mannen and O’Horten. But even the others are quite enjoyable and – to me – quite new.
